In Between
This song represents the midway point of the CD. It kind of reflects a marker between the "honeymoon" stage of the CD and the "struggle" and "maturation" stage.
I'm still striving, not looking back from the place that I left,
Dropped my baggage, and the weight that so easily besets.
It doesn't make this journey easier, in fact it's still a struggle
Can't move about so freely 'cause this road I travel's narrow
But I push and in due time, I'm losin some stuff
But I learned to taste of that new wine, grapes have to be crushed
So call me the panhandler, I'm working for change
Give me a crutch or a cane, 'cause I ain't walkin the same
No more, child like trippin as I get use to my feet
No more, sippin on Similac, I'm devouring meat
In the the light of eternity, I'll gladly endure the things that ultimately leads to my maturity.
