I wrote this piece to an old beat TopSpin produced that was originally meant for the 'Preaching of the Cross' album that was never used. It started out with the line "Hooked up to living water you can call it I V". I thought the line was pretty good, and I just began to write based on the fact that I used the letter "I" and "V", so most of the third verse was actually written first. I then began to just spell words in the other verses. The great thing about how this song came together is the music. When the song was completed, I went to TopSpin with the original music, and he said he wanted to redo the music on it. Without hearing any of the lyrics or the hook, he added the staccato kicks that went perfectly along with the "L I V E E T E R N A L L Y" at the end. God is big.
